This Viper 2 guard mounts at the bar end and clamps further in, so a crash loads the plastic rather than the handlebar. Open at the grip. Sits clear of master cylinders and perches, and the supplied brackets cover standard and oversized bars. It keeps levers and the backs of your hands out of the roost on the track and on faster trail loops. No bridge across to the bars means less to catch in tight going. Plastic is a wear item here. When it scuffs through or stiffens up, replace the arch and reuse the mount.
