What it is
The BARNETT CLUTCH FRICTION PLATE KEVLAR EACH, clutch. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
These Kevlar-segmented friction plates are designed for high-heat applications and heavy abuse. They sit within the clutch basket, sandwiched between the steel drive plates. Kevlar offers superior wear resistance and a more consistent feel than standard organic materials. If your clutch is slipping under load or the lever feel has become inconsistent, your friction plates are likely worn beyond service limits. These are sold individually, allowing you to replace a full set or specific damaged plates. Always soak new friction plates in fresh gear oil for several hours before installation to prevent glazing.
