This shorter canister is designed to increase bottom-to-midrange pull, making it the preferred choice for tight MX tracks and technical sections. By reducing the overall length, it alters the exhaust pressure wave to provide more immediate snap out of corners. The aluminium construction sheds weight compared to the stock Yamaha part. Ensure the rubber grommets on your subframe are in good condition during installation. Like all performance silencers, the internal glass matting is a consumable item. Periodic repacking is essential to prevent heat damage to the outer sleeve.
