The grooved surface clears mud and water from the pad contact area instantly. This floating mechanism allows the outer ring to expand independently of the centre. It prevents warping when the brakes get hot on long descents or heavy braking zones. Mount this to your front hub for consistent feel at the lever. Replace it once the grooves wear shallow or the disc thins out. Use a torque wrench on the hub bolts to avoid stripping threads. This is a technical upgrade for riders facing deep ruts and wet conditions.
