What it is
The KIBBLEWHITE VALVE SEAL, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
These seals sit on the valve guides to prevent oil from entering the combustion chamber. They are a critical consumable for any top-end rebuild. Perished seals cause blue smoke on startup and carbon build-up on the valves. This part cross-references OEM 12209-422-005. Replace them every time the valves are removed. Use a small amount of assembly lube on the valve stem to prevent damage to the seal during installation. Keeping the oil out of the intake and exhaust ports is vital for engine health.
