What it is

Michelin's 4mm ultra-heavy-duty 18in tube is the one you fit when stock tubes keep folding on you. Big-volume casing for 140/80 rears. TR-4 straight valve. Run it on enduro loops, rocky single-track, or anywhere you drop pressures into the teens for grip. Thicker rubber soaks up pinch hits the thin OE tube can't survive. Dust the inside of your tyre with talc before fitting so the tube can move without chafing. Line the valve square through the rim hole and snug the rim lock first, then the valve nut. Bin it the moment you spot a chafe ring.
