What it is

The Moose Offroad FF SPRING SET 42.5MM 4.4, fork springs. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Moose's 4.4 N/mm rate suits heavier riders or anyone running a full hydration pack, tools and roll-chart on a long enduro loop. Older CR250R, CRF250R and KX250F forks left the factory soft for an average pro weight, so a clydesdale on stockers blows through the stroke into braking bumps and packs down mid-corner. Drop these in with fresh oil at the recommended height, set sag at the shock, then ride a known whoop section. Front should hold up under hard braking, track straight through ruts, and reset between hits without diving.
