What it is
The Moose Offroad FORK BUSHING KIT MOOSE, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
Inner and outer fork bushings ride between the stanchion and lower leg, holding the tube square through the stroke. The Teflon coating wears under load, side-load, and grit ingress. Stiction climbs, the front end develops play, and seals start weeping not long after. Swap them as a pair when you do your seals, never on their own. Spec covers WP XPLOR, AER, and ByBre forks across the Austrian three-marque platform — EXC, SX-F, FC, FE, TE, TC, MC, EC, plus the 1290 Super Adventure and 790 R road bikes. Drive them in with the proper seal driver. A mallet and a socket will burr the edge and ruin the new part before the fork sees oil.
