What it is

Front wheel spacers locate the hub between the fork legs and give the wheel seals a sealing surface to ride on. Cross-references Yamaha OEM 1SL-25183-00-00 and 1SL-25186-00-00 — the inner and outer pair for the WR-F and YZ-F platform from the alloy-frame era. Grit cuts circular grooves into the spacer face over a season of sand and creek crossings. Water then tracks past the seal lip and the hub bearings go rough inside a few rides. Fit them at the same time as new wheel seals and a bearing pack. Smear of waterproof grease on the spacer OD before the seal goes back, torque the axle to spec, done.
