Guide bushings sit pressed inside the outer fork tube, bearing on a 47mm stanchion. Their job is friction control. Teflon coating runs against the chrome; once you see copper showing through, they're done. A worn set transmits harshness on stutter bumps and lets the front end deflect under braking. Replace as a pair every time you split the forks for seals. This set covers a wide spread of 47mm Showa and KYB legs, from the CR250R two-stroke through to current YZ450FX and CRF450R chassis. Fit fresh bushings with new seals, dust wipers and clean oil for a full lower-leg service.
