This part sits inside the reservoir to separate the nitrogen gas from the hydraulic oil. It allows the oil to expand as the shock cycles while preventing aeration and cavitation. The rubber material eventually loses its seal or becomes brittle after repeated heat cycles. A failed unit leads to inconsistent damping and a dead feel at the rear of your bike. This is a direct replacement for the OEM part and fits the standard reservoir housing. Always use fresh suspension fluid and follow the correct nitrogen charging procedure during installation to ensure your rear end tracks correctly.
