This roller manages chain slack and prevents the chain from slapping the frame or airbox. It sits on the frame near the swingarm pivot. The internal bearings allow the chain to pass with minimal friction. Over time, the rubber or plastic outer wears down and the bearings can seize from pressure washing. A seized roller increases drag and can damage your chain links. This is a generic fitment part often used across multiple models. Check your bolt diameter before installation. Replace it when the roller surface becomes notched.
