What it is

The SCAR LAUNCH CONTROL YZ/YZF BK, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A holeshot device. Compresses the fork in the gate so the front end stays planted off the line instead of pawing skyward when the revs hit. The hinged clamp wraps the lower fork leg without pulling the fork from the triples. The trigger pin engages a latch plate that bolts to the fork guard, so plan on drilling the guard during fit-up. First hard brake into turn one releases the pin and the fork returns to full travel. Pin and spring want a wash and a drop of light oil after every moto; grit will lock the mechanism solid.
