Prolong your service intervals in extreme conditions. This coarse foam skin slides over your main filter to trap heavy sand and silt. It acts as a sacrificial layer that you can peel off mid-race to reveal a clean surface underneath. This is essential for beach races or deep sand tracks where standard filters clog rapidly. It does not restrict airflow significantly but adds a vital secondary barrier. Ensure the cover is oiled lightly to maximise its effectiveness against fine dust.
