This kit replaces the standard plastic filter cage with a rigid aluminium frame. It provides a more secure sealing surface against the airbox to prevent dirt bypass. The design often allows for the removal of the restrictive backfire screen, improving airflow to the intake. This results in better throttle response and increased power.
