This roller manages chain tension and prevents the drive chain from slapping your frame. It sits on the lower or upper frame lug near the swingarm pivot. Bearings inside the roller eventually seize or the outer material wears down to the core. A worn roller leads to excessive noise and potential frame damage. This part is a direct replacement for the stock unit on your Honda. Check your rollers during every chain service. Ensure the mounting bolt is torqued correctly to allow free rotation.
