Mounts to the frame to support the chain and reduce friction during suspension travel. On the CRF, these rollers take significant abuse from mud and pressure washing, which eventually kills the internal bearings. A seized or worn roller increases drag and can cause the chain to track incorrectly. This part is a direct replacement for the factory unit. Check for play or flat spots whenever you are cleaning the bike. It is a small part that prevents larger drive train issues and keeps the power delivery smooth.
