What it is

The UFO CHAIN SLIDER HONDA CR80/85 BLACK, chain guides & sliders. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

This slider wraps around the front of the swingarm near the pivot bolt. It protects the aluminium from the chain as it leaves the front sprocket. Without a functional slider, the chain will quickly saw through the swingarm casting. It is a critical service item for any top-end rebuild or mid-season maintenance. The fitment is specific to the CR80 and CR85 geometry. Clean the swingarm surface thoroughly before fitting to ensure the slider sits flush. Replace this part as soon as the wear indicators suggest the chain is nearing the metal.
