This slider protects the top and front of the swingarm from chain wear. It is a high-wear component that should be checked every few rides. Failure to replace a worn slider leads to the chain cutting into the swingarm pivot area. This part is designed for the 85SX to provide a factory-standard fit and chain line. It installs easily using the existing bolt holes. Ensure the chain tension is set correctly to extend the life of the slider. A fresh slider also helps reduce drive train noise and vibration during operation.
