What it is

The UFO EXTENTION UFO PLATE NUMBER KX, side panels. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

This UFO extension clips your KX front plate further up the forks, shielding the upper tubes and seal area from roost and flung stones. On a hard enduro lap the front end eats everything the rider in front kicks back, and the stanchions sit right in the firing line. The extension takes that hit instead. It mounts to the standard plate fixings, no drilling, and suits the KX 250 and KX 450 in both two-stroke and four-stroke form. Cracked tabs are the usual failure. Fit a fresh one rather than ride with bare, exposed fork tubes.
