What it is

The UFO FORK SLIDER PROTECTORS BLUE, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Bolted to the axle lugs on the YZ 65's KYB forks, these take roost, rock strikes, and the odd crash slide before any of it reaches the stanchion. A pitted slider chews through fork seals in a session; the plastic is the cheap line of defence. UFO mould these model-specific so the brake-line guide and bolt holes line up with the OEM mount points, no drilling. Standard plastics-refresh job at season turnaround. Check the brake hose runs cleanly through the guide before final torque, and a dab of thread lock keeps them put through a season of vibration.
