They seal the airbox and shield the subframe from roost while giving your legs a clean surface to grip against the bike. Boot rub and exhaust heat fatigue stock plastic over a season; cracks and a dull finish follow. These mount to the original holes, so no drilling. Carry your existing fasteners across and the swap takes minutes. A worthwhile reset before fitting new graphics.
