This rod kit is for the latest generation YZ450F, YZ450FX, and WR450F. It sits at the core of the bottom-end, linking the piston to the crank. These high-output engines require precise tolerances in the big-end bearing. Replace the rod during a scheduled rebuild or if play is found. The kit includes the rod, big-end pin, and bearing. You will need a hydraulic press for installation and a truing stand to align the crank webs. Maintaining a fresh bottom-end is critical for the longevity of your engine in race conditions.
