What it is

These stainless steel springs secure the joints between your header and mid-pipe. They allow for slight movement and vibration without causing stress fractures in the metal. Over time, heat cycles cause the steel to lose tension or snap. Always replace them if they appear stretched or show signs of surface corrosion. Use a dedicated spring puller for a safe installation. Check the tension during your regular post-wash inspection to ensure the exhaust system remains airtight and secure.
