What it is
The GALFER BRAKE PAD SEMI METALLIC, brake pads. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
Semi-metallic compound for trials or light enduro use. These offer a softer initial bite and less aggressive wear on your rotors. They work well in cold or damp conditions where full sintered pads might feel too wooden. Ideal for riders who prefer more modulation at the lever. Inspect your pads after every muddy ride. Grit can embed in the softer material and score the disc. Swap them out if the friction material is unevenly worn. Check that the caliper pistons move freely before installing the new set.
