This standard inner tube sits inside your 18-inch rear tyre. It provides the air chamber required to maintain tyre profile and grip. Standard tubes offer a weight advantage over heavy-duty versions, reducing unsprung mass for sharper suspension action. Replace this part if you find any signs of rubber fatigue or during a major service. Check your rim tape for protruding spoke nipples before fitting. Use tyre powder to prevent the tube from sticking to the carcass. This fitment is common on enduro bikes and older trail machines. Ensure the rim lock is positioned correctly to avoid valve damage.
