This coil is designed for KYB shock bodies and is used to calibrate the rear suspension to your weight. Standard springs are a compromise and rarely suit every rider. Swapping the coil is the only way to achieve correct race sag and maintain proper chassis balance. This ensures the bike turns accurately and maintains traction under power. It is a direct replacement for the original equipment. Use a spring compressor during the installation to prevent damage to the preload rings or shock shaft. Correcting the rate prevents the rear end from blowing through the stroke.
