What it is

The RENTHAL RENTHAL TWINWALL 997 GRN, handlebars. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Tube within a tube. The 28.6mm outer wall takes the external knocks while the 7/8" inner carries the load, so a heavy flat landing tweaks alignment instead of folding the bar. The 997 is a long-standing MX bend that suits the Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Beta fitment listed here. Anodised against the corrosion UK winters bring. Run them in 28.6mm clamps and torque the bolts to OEM figures; too much and you pinch the outer tube. Replace at the first hairline crack near the controls or after any hit that twists the alignment off true.
