What it is

The SHOWA PACKING / 12mm shaft / blue, fork seals. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Internal cartridge packing for the 12mm damper shaft, colour-coded blue so you grab the right one on the bench. This is a fork internal, not a dust or oil seal, so don't go looking for it on the outside of the leg. You're rebuilding the cartridge, you split the damper, this is one of the small parts that goes back in. Fits a wide spread of Showa-cartridge MX and enduro bikes across Gas Gas, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM and Suzuki, including the CR 250 R, CRF 250 R, CRF 250 X, CRF 450 R and CRF 450 X. Check your fork chart before you order, match the blue code on the bag to your service manual exploded diagram, and replace it any time the cartridge is open.
