These steel drive plates sit between the friction discs in your clutch basket. Over time, heat causes these plates to warp or discolour, leading to clutch drag or slipping. Check for bluing or surface irregularities during your next transmission service. Replacing these ensures your stack height remains within OEM tolerances for precise lever feel. These are sold individually to allow for partial or full stack replacement. Soak your friction plates in fresh oil before assembly, but these steels go in dry and clean. They are essential for consistent power delivery.
