What it is

The FMF POWERCORE 2 SILENCER ALUMINUM YAMAHA, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

This silencer replaces the heavy OEM unit to improve exhaust flow and throttle response. The extruded aluminium canister houses a perforated core wrapped in glass matting. It mounts directly to your existing frame points. You will notice a sharper exhaust note and increased pull through the mid-range. Standard length provides a balanced power delivery suitable for track and trail use. Service intervals depend on your riding style. Check the packing regularly to maintain backpressure and noise levels. Use a fresh gasket or high-temp silicone at the junction to prevent leaks.
