These Viton valve stem seals sit at the top of the guides in your cylinder head. They prevent engine oil from leaking down the valve stem and into the combustion chamber. This 4-pack is a direct cross-reference for OEM part 35178930. Replace these every time you have the head apart for a top-end rebuild or valve service. Hardened or cracked seals lead to blue smoke and carbon buildup on the valve faces. The Viton material handles high temperatures better than standard rubber. Use a dedicated seal driver for installation to avoid tearing the delicate inner lip.
