This seal sits on the wheel hub to protect the internal drum assembly. It keeps water and grit from entering the braking surface. Contamination leads to rapid shoe wear and poor performance. Replace this seal whenever you have the wheel off for a shoe change or if you spot grease weeping. It cross-references with OEM part 64124-38F00. Use a seal driver for a square fitment. A light smear of waterproof grease on the lip ensures a proper seal against the spacer. This is vital for maintaining braking consistency in muddy terrain.
