Moulded HDPE for the KX 250 F, cut to clear the oil drain bolt so you can dump oil without pulling the plate. Plastic flexes over rock steps and log edges where alloy would catch and stop you dead. It deadens engine vibration too, so you hear less drumming through the frame on long trail days. Bolts to the standard frame mounts. The frame rails and cases take the hit instead of your wallet. Swap it once the plastic wears thin or a gouge runs deep enough to weaken the shell.
