This self-cleaning countershaft sprocket sits on the gearbox output shaft to drive your chain. Mud grooves shed debris to prevent chain tension spikes in heavy conditions. It is a critical wear item in your drivetrain. Replace it when the teeth begin to hook or thin out. Always fit a new front sprocket when installing a new chain to prevent premature wear. This steel component is machined to precise tolerances for an exact fit on your bike's splines. Ensure the locking washer or circlip is seated correctly during installation.
