This gasket seals the generator cover on the left-hand side of the engine. It maintains the seal for the stator housing and prevents oil from escaping. You should fit a new one whenever you access the flywheel or ignition components. This part corresponds to OEM cross-reference 90130040000. Ensure the dowel pins are correctly aligned before torquing the cover bolts. It is a standard workshop consumable for maintaining your bike's lower end. Proper fitment prevents vacuum leaks and oil weeping during hard use.
