This element sits inside the engine housing to filter the oil flow to the top-end and crank. Off-road riding puts extreme stress on the engine, leading to the accumulation of clutch dust and metal shavings. This filter prevents these contaminants from causing internal damage. Regular replacement is the most cost-effective way to protect your rebuild. Service the filter at every oil change, especially after heavy sessions in sand or mud. Ensure the element is oriented correctly in the housing to prevent oil bypass. A fresh filter maintains the flow and pressure required for high-RPM operation.
