This self-cleaning countershaft sprocket sits on the gearbox output shaft to drive your chain. Mud grooves shed debris to prevent chain tension spikes in heavy conditions. It is a critical wear item in your drivetrain. Replace it when the teeth begin to hook or thin out. Always fit a new front sprocket when installing a new chain to prevent premature wear.
