Stock springs on a 50 are set for a featherweight. Get a heavier kid on the bike, start hitting jumps, and the fork packs down hard on landings — you'll feel the front end clack out and tuck on the next corner. Going to 2.2 N/mm holds the front up in the stroke, stops the harsh bottom-out, and keeps the geometry sane when the rider weight climbs toward the top of the 50cc band. Fit it during a fork service: drop the oil, check bushings, set your oil height to spec, and bleed the air before the first ride.
