Setting your sag correctly is the first step to a balanced bike. This unit replaces the factory coil to match the suspension to your specific weight and riding style. It sits on the shock body, held by the preload collars and spring seat. Stock coils are often wound for a narrow weight range. If you cannot achieve correct static and rider sag, a rate change is mandatory. Swapping the coil ensures the linkage and valving operate within their intended stroke. Ensure the threads on the shock body are clean before adjusting the preload collars during installation.
